Not used at Berkeley itself. May be more common among {suit}s attempting to sound like cognoscenti than among hackers, who usually just say `BSD'....
hung: [from `hung up'] adj. Equivalent to {wedged}, but more common at UNIX/C sites.
Not generally used of people. Syn. with {locked up}, {wedged}...
LPT: /L-P-T/ or /lip'it/ or /lip-it'/ n. Line printer, of course.
Rare under UNIX, more common among hackers who grew up with ITS, MS-DOS, CP/M and other operating systems that were strongly influenced by early DEC conventions....
ap: 1. n. A program interrupt, usually an interrupt caused by some exceptional situation in the user program.
