This reliance on facts, belief in facts; it's a great American
superstition. After all, the telephone directory is full of facts, but it
does not contain one idea. The fact is that value judgements are not based
on facts. Facts alone are like unlabeled spent food containers, whereas
when facts are combined with ideas, you have one of the greater forces
available to you in this world.
