The best advice I've ever received was the one tangible piece of
broadcasting education I received while attending Cornell. One of my
professors, the general manager of a local radio station, advised me as
follows: "Always address the audience as one person. Whenever I hear
someone say, `Hello again, everyone,' or `Good morning, world,' I always
look around to see who's come into the room with me."
