Here's a letter from Mrs. Jerome Whatsis from West Jesus, North Dakota. She
says, "Dear Sir: I don't know what I would do without satire. When my
husband is home sick in bed and my children are screaming for food and
there's no money, I thank God there is such a thing as satire ... "Well,
this is only one of the influences of satire. We all know how much satire
did to stop the rise of Hitler in Germany in 1931.
