Mr. Yaghmaie is a Partner in the New York office of Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP, a leading law firm with over 900 attorneys worldwide. Mr. Yaghmaie's practice entails the representation of private and publicly-held emerging growth high technology and life science companies, leading investment banks and venture capital funds, with a particular focus on private placements and venture financings, public offerings of equity and debt securities, and mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Yaghmaie has played an instrumental role in many of the leading technology transactions in New York's Silicon Alley, and regularly represents numerous venture-backed companies and venture capital funds. In addition, Mr. Yaghmaie has represented both issuers and underwriters in more than 30 public offerings across a variety of industries, including public offerings by Albany Molecular Research, Best Software, Emcore, Globix, Knight/Trimark, Myriad Genetics, Predictive Systems, StarMedia, Trimeris, and Tellium. Mr. Yaghmaie is a faculty member of the Practicing Law Institute and has authored the chapter in the Securities Filings volume entitled, "Compliance with the Securities Act in the Acquisition Context." Mr. Yaghmaie is also a senior contributing editor of VC Experts' Venture Capital Encyclopedia, and a member of the Advisory Boards of the Silicon Alley Entrepreneurs Club and VC 2003. Before joining Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman, Mr. Yaghmaie was a co-founding partner of the New York office of Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati.
