Since founding Movaz in June 2000, Mr. Bijan Khosravi has served as the company's Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. In a stellar career spanning over 20 years in the telecom industry, Mr. Khosravi combines experiences from both service provider and equipment supplier companies. Mr. Khosravi began his telecom career in 1982 at Contel of Virginia. He joined Nortel Networks in 1990 where he held numerous executive positions and led many customer wins for the SONET and Optical Business Unit. After helming the successful OC192 market launch for Nortel, Mr. Khosravi moved to Silicon Valley in 1997 to join Siara Networks as the second employee and co-founder. Serving as Vice President of Business Development and Marketing, Mr. Khosravi was instrumental for the $4.3B merger of Redback and Siara Networks in 1999. Mr. Khosravi pursued a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Norfolk State University and Old Dominion University, and he continued with his Master's degree in Technology Management from Mercer University. Spending much of his free time participating in various charity and political activities, Mr. Khosravi still sets aside a special time reserved to visit colleges and universities to speak to students interested in learning more about telecom network infrastructure technology and pursuing a career in this field. In addition, he is an active member of the Atlanta Chamber of Commerce and the Atlanta CEO Council. Mr. Khosravi and his wife, Nasrin, reside in Alpharetta, GA with their son, Aria. |
