Yasmin Zand Yasmin Zand recently moved to Washington DC from Northern California. Upon graduation from college, she interned for Dick Gephardt for President in San Francisco and traveled to Des Moines, IA to campaign for the 2004 Iowa Caucus. She subsequently assisted with fundraising for John Kerry for President in Northern California and worked as a consultant for the Democratic National Committee in Washington DC and Boston, MA for the 2004 Convention. She spent the final months of the presidential campaign as a political organizer with the Democratic Party of Oregon. Yasmin attended the University of California, Berkeley and graduated with a degree in Business Administration from the Haas School of Business, and a second degree in political science. She supplemented her international business studies at Academie Commerciale internationale in Paris, France. Yasmin's experience with the Iranian-American community includes four years as Managing Editor of UC Berkeley's Iranian literary magazine, Perspective. |
