Ms. Bita Daryabari began her career in the telecommunications industry at GammmaLink, Inc., an early pioneer in computer fax and networking products. Following Gammalink, she moved to MCI Communications were she worked for three and half years and was repeatedly distinguished as a "President's Circle" top achiever. Ms. Daryabari is founder and President of Unique Zan Foundation. The goals of the foundation are to empower women in the Middle East through education and health initiatives as well as funding research for cures in cancer and children's diseases. Their recent efforts included support for Parkinson's Institute, Palo Alto's Community Breast Health Project, Relief International's project to rebuild a village in Pakistan devastated by 2005 earthquake, Lebanon and Palestine, summer of 2006. She also works with Sakena Yacoobi, Nobel Przie Nominee in 2005 and Founder of Afghan Institute of Learning and Women's Human Right Activist, in Kabul to build an all girl school. Ms. Daryabari is also planning on Micro Financing and Training women in Afghanistan with AIL and Creating Hope International. Ms. Daryabari is on the Visionary Board of Genom at XPrzie, and also on the board of PARSA Community Foundation. Ms. Daryabari received a B.S in Computer Science from California State University, Hayward, and M.S. in Telecommunications Management from Golden Gate University San Francisco. |
