Mr. Taheri received his Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree from the University of Houston in 1968, followed by a Doctor of Jurisprudence (J.D.) degree from South Texas College of Law in 1973. In the spring of 2002, Mr. Taheri participated in an International Business Litigation and Arbitration conference in New York City. He is a frequent speaker at continuing legal education (CLE) conferences for attorneys and other organizations. Mr. Taheri is licensed and authorized to practice law in the states of Texas and New York. He is also licensed and authorized to practice law in Washington D.C., U.S. federal district courts, the United States Tax Court in Washington, D.C., U.S. federal circuit courts, the U.S. Court of International Trade in New York, the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit in Washington, D.C., and the United States Supreme Court in Washington, D.C. Mr. Taheri was appointed Adjunct Professor at the University of Houston where he taught Business Law from 1974 to 1977. Throughout his career, Mr. Taheri has been involved with his alma mater, South Texas College of Law, where he served as President of the Alumni Association in 1982. In 1980, Mr. Taheri was appointed Adjunct Professor of Law at South Texas College of Law, where he teaches International Civil Litigation in addition to other internationally related U.S. laws. Mr. Taheri has been a member of numerous organizations to include the American Bar Association, Washington D.C. Bar Association, New York Bar Association, Texas Bar Association, Houston Bar Association, Fellow: Houston Bar Foundation, American Trial Lawyers Association, Texas Trial Lawyers Association, College of the State Bar of Texas, Association of International Petroleum Negotiators, British American Business Association, International Business Committee of the Houston Chamber of Commerce, Forum Club, World Trade Association, Institute of International Education, World Affair Council, and International Lawyers Association in London, England. |
